Enchanted

a little encouragement for anyone who needs to hear it...
when her mind is clouded
by fear and doubt
and she can't see a way;
when she tries to escape
from her own thoughts
but every day
it is in vain,
then she looks up to the sky
even in the midst of the rain
and remembers there is more
than what's in front of her
and storms never last forever.
the sunlight weaves shafts of color
into the dim rooms of her thoughts;
even the moon gives a warm glow
of clarity,
and peace,
and calm.
and here she is not too far
for light to reach her;
slowly it will touch each part of her
until the darkness fades.
life will be beautiful once again,
she will feel alive,
enchanted.
and she will be whole,
because on her darkest nights,
she did not give up
seeking
the light.
